ArrowpointConstruction & Remodeling

North Texas is hard on siding. Months of intense sun dry out and warp wood. Hail dents and cracks panels. Humidity and wind-driven rain find every gap in the caulk. Once moisture gets behind the siding, it goes to work on the sheathing and framing, where you cannot see it.

We repair and replace siding on homes across Rockwall County and the eastern DFW metro. If a repair will solve the problem, we will tell you. If the siding has reached the end of its life, we will help you choose a material that holds up here and install it over a proper weather barrier.

What we do

Full siding replacement

Old siding removed, the wall inspected and repaired, a weather barrier installed and new siding, trim and flashing put on correctly.

Siding repair

Damaged, rotted or loose boards replaced and matched as closely as possible to what is already on your home.

Fascia, soffit and trim

The boards along your roofline and around windows and doors take the most weather. We repair and replace them as part of any siding project.

Paint and finish

Exterior painting is one of our core services, so siding and paint can be handled as a single project.

Signs your siding needs work

  • Boards that are warped, cracked or pulling away from the wall
  • Soft spots or rot, especially near the ground, the roofline and around windows
  • Paint that peels again soon after repainting
  • Open gaps in caulk and joints
  • Dents or holes from hail
  • Moisture, mildew or staining on interior walls

Siding materials compared

These are the materials homeowners in our area most often choose between:

Fiber cement
Resists rot, insects and fire, stands up well to heat and hail, and holds paint for a long time. It is the most popular upgrade in North Texas for good reason.
Engineered wood
The warmth of real wood grain with much better moisture resistance. It is lighter than fiber cement and quicker to install.
Vinyl
The lowest cost and the least maintenance, though it can crack under hail and distort in extreme heat.

Good to know

Siding questions, answered

Can you repair just the damaged sections?

Often, yes. If the damage is limited and the rest of the siding is sound, a repair is the sensible choice. We will tell you honestly whether a repair will last or whether you would be paying twice.

What siding holds up best in Texas?

Fiber cement is the most durable all-round choice for our heat, hail and humidity. Engineered wood is a strong alternative. We will go through the trade-offs for your home and budget.

How long does siding replacement take?

Most homes take one to two weeks, depending on the size of the house, the material and whether we find hidden damage once the old siding comes off.

Do you paint new siding?

Yes. Because we also handle exterior painting, your siding and paint can be planned, scheduled and finished together.
